Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has launched a new mobile salary payment service aimed at simplifying payroll management for employers in the UAE. This service allows both individual and corporate employers to register and pay their employees' salaries directly via the ADIB Mobile Banking app and the ADIB Direct app. The initiative is part of ADIB's commitment to align with the UAE's Wage Protection System (WPS), ensuring compliance with the national regulatory framework. Developed in collaboration with Al Etihad Payments and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the service facilitates the retrieval and verification of employee data, validation of salary information, and reporting of paid and unpaid salaries with necessary justifications. By integrating WPS, the solution enhances transparency, auditability, and regulatory reporting. It also eliminates the need for physical documents, providing employers with greater visibility and control over payroll processes. This digital-first approach marks a significant advancement in how salary payments are managed in the UAE, promoting efficiency and compliance in the workforce.
