A court in New Delhi has instructed the Joint Commissioner of Police for the Transport Range to conduct a thorough investigation into the case of two missing community dogs, Kaddu and Brownie, at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pranav Joshi, criticized the previous police inquiry as inadequate, noting a lack of serious efforts to determine the dogs' whereabouts. The dogs have been missing for over a month following their alleged illegal relocation from the airport's terminals. The court pointed out that while CCTV footage captured a person enticing one dog into a vehicle, the investigation did not yield clear conclusions. Furthermore, it highlighted that the investigating officer focused on questioning the complainants rather than the alleged perpetrators. Basic details, such as vaccination and sterilization records, were not obtained, raising concerns about the investigation's thoroughness. The next hearing is set for May 11.
