Ranveer Singh has initiated legal proceedings against the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) following their issuance of a non-cooperation directive. This directive was prompted by complaints from Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment regarding Singh's unexpected departure from the film 'Don 3'. FWICE's chief advisor, Ashoke Pandit, confirmed the receipt of Singh's legal notice and announced a forthcoming press conference to discuss the issue. The federation had previously attempted to resolve the matter amicably by requesting Singh's presence to explain his side, but he declined, stating the dispute was contractual and should be settled legally. In response to FWICE's directive, Singh's spokesperson emphasized his respect for the film industry and his preference for handling disputes with dignity. The controversy escalated as reports indicated that Excel Entertainment is pursuing ₹40-45 crore in compensation for losses incurred due to Singh's abrupt exit from the project.
