India and Sweden have officially upgraded their bilateral relationship to a Strategic Partnership, as announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Sweden. PM Modi was honored with the Royal Order of the Polar Star, Degree Commander Grand Cross for his contributions to fostering India-Sweden relations. Additionally, PM Modi met with Robert Maersk Uggla, Chairman of Maersk, to discuss investment opportunities in India's port infrastructure and logistics sectors. The visit included cultural exchanges, with performances highlighting Bengali culture, showcasing the strong ties between the two nations.
