Boehle, who is a redshirt junior with two years of eligibility remaining, previously played at Winona State, where he recorded five tackles, including 2.0 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss last season. His transfer to Harding was prompted by a coaching change, leading him to re-enter the portal. Despite interest from Division I programs, Boehle has received offers primarily from FCS schools. Standing at 6'6" and weighing approximately 250 pounds, he is expected to enhance the Spartans' pass-rushing capabilities, which were lacking last season, as MSU finished 14th in the Big Ten with an average of only 1.83 sacks per game. The Spartans are also considering other defensive line prospects, including Canadian player Franklin Ibelo, as they aim to improve depth and performance in their defensive lineup for the upcoming season.
