Dubai Airports has announced an increase in flight operations following the full restoration of airspace in the United Arab Emirates, which had been disrupted for several weeks. During this period, the airport managed to handle over 6 million passengers, 32,000 aircraft movements, and 213,000 tonnes of cargo across Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. Chief Executive Officer Paul Griffiths stated that the airport's priority was to ensure global travel remained consistent and safe despite the constraints. He noted that real-time coordination among airlines and ground teams was crucial for maintaining stable operations during the disruption. With the airspace now fully operational, Dubai Airports is preparing to further increase capacity as airlines resume their services, reflecting strong travel demand through the region. Griffiths highlighted that the recent challenges underscored the necessity for effective communication and flexibility in managing airport operations.
