Hockey India has officially announced the 18-member Indian Women's U-18 squad for the upcoming Women's U18 Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in Kakamigahara, Japan from May 29 to June 6, 2026. The team, captained by Sweety Kujur, has been training intensively at a national camp in Bhopal, focusing on enhancing match fitness and tactical execution. In preparation, the squad engaged in a four-match series against Australia, concluding with a victory that boosted their confidence.

India is placed in Pool A, where they will face Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. Their tournament campaign kicks off against Malaysia on May 30, followed by matches against Korea on May 31 and Singapore on June 2. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semi-finals on June 5, with the final set for June 6. Coach Rani expressed optimism about the tournament, highlighting it as a valuable opportunity for the young athletes to gain international experience and perform under pressure.
