The Haibowal police in Ludhiana have registered a case against three unidentified individuals for allegedly setting fire to the car of factory owner Mohammad Shakir. The incident occurred on the night of May 30, captured by CCTV cameras. Shakir reported that he parked his black Mahindra KUV100 outside his residence, and footage shows masked men arriving in a Hyundai i20, pouring a flammable liquid on the vehicle, and igniting it before fleeing. Shakir suspects the attack is related to a business dispute involving his brother-in-law, who had recently severed ties with a former partner. This former associate had reportedly issued threats regarding their new business arrangement. The police are currently reviewing the CCTV footage and exploring all potential leads as part of their investigation, which is being conducted under Section 326(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
