In an effort to tackle commuting challenges in Pune's Hinjewadi IT hub, Routematic has launched COCO Rides, an app-based employee shuttle service. This initiative, in partnership with the Hinjawadi Industries Association (HIA), aims to benefit over 1.25 lakh employees from more than 80 companies. The service was inaugurated at the Infosys campus and will operate an initial fleet of over 80 buses, covering 70-plus routes and more than 500 boarding points across Pune. With the capacity to accommodate up to 20,000 riders daily, COCO Rides allows employees to reserve seats in advance, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective commuting option. Sriram Kannan, CEO of Routematic, expressed plans to expand the service to other business districts and cities in the future, while co-founder Kavitha Ramachandragowda emphasized its role in promoting sustainable urban mobility.
