Activision has officially confirmed the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, set to launch on October 23, 2026. Developed by Infinity Ward, this installment returns to modern warfare, focusing on a conflict on the Korean Peninsula. Players will embody Private Park, a South Korean soldier, and Captain Price, who operates covertly to neutralize a catastrophic threat. The campaign spans various international locations, featuring urban battles in New York City, high-speed chases in Paris, and trench warfare in Korea. On the multiplayer front, the game introduces Ballistic Authority, promising the most realistic gunplay to date, along with 12 core maps and the dynamic Kill Block arena that can change layouts between rounds. Additionally, the extraction-based DMZ mode will return, offering evolving combat scenarios. The game will be released on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2, marking its first entry in the franchise. Pre-orders will grant players early access to the Open Beta and exclusive in-game content.
