Borussia Mönchengladbach has opened discussions with Rani Khedira, a 32-year-old midfielder currently playing for Union Berlin, regarding a potential transfer. According to Sky Germany, while talks have commenced, Gladbach has not yet reached out to Union Berlin about the player. Khedira's contract with Union runs until the summer of 2027, and the club is keen on retaining him due to his importance in the squad. Since joining Union from FC Augsburg in 2021, Khedira has become a regular starter, making 182 appearances, scoring eight goals, and providing four assists. He is also the younger brother of Sami Khedira, who won the FIFA World Cup with Germany in 2014.
