Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Deputy Floor Leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized the Congress government for its inconsistent handling of project-related inquiries during a press conference. He accused the government of targeting former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao while neglecting serious issues under its administration. Yadav pointed out that the Congress government ordered an inquiry only into the Kaleshwaram project after the sinking of several piers at the Medigadda Barrage. Meanwhile, it failed to address the tragic deaths of eight workers in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal tunnel collapse and other significant incidents, including the flooding of the Vattem pump-house of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, damage to the Peddavagu Project, and the collapse of a retaining wall at the Sunkishala drinking water project. Yadav's remarks reflect growing frustration over the perceived lack of accountability in the current government's approach to project management and safety.
