Overall, the Indian real estate market saw 111 deals for 2,994 acres, a decline from 143 deals in FY25. Notably, listed developers' share of land deals increased from 40% to 49%, showcasing their resilience amid a market slowdown. Godrej Properties topped the list with 17 deals over 443.5 acres, while Bengaluru emerged as the primary hotspot with 17 deals for over 293 acres. Other cities like Pune and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region also saw significant activity. Despite the overall decline in land transactions, the appetite for strategic acquisitions among listed firms remains strong, as they continue to dominate the market due to better access to capital and transparent operations. The share of listed and grade A developers in new housing supply reached 45%, up from 43% in FY25, indicating a consolidation trend in the sector.
