Recent consultations in Delhi with Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, have indicated a push for this change following the government crossing the halfway mark of its five-year term. Although Siddaramaiah has been offered a central role and a Rajya Sabha seat, he has not yet accepted the proposal. Despite the swirling rumors, Congress officials have publicly stated that no formal decision regarding a leadership change has been made.
