The training must be conducted by authorised institutions, which must provide a minimum of 15 hours of instruction covering essential topics such as road safety, vehicle maintenance, emergency response, and public conduct. Specific training modules will also focus on fire safety and first aid, teaching drivers how to handle emergencies effectively. Additionally, the circular establishes eligibility criteria for training institutions, including classroom facilities, approved vehicles, and technical qualifications for instructors. The authorisation process for training centres will be managed online, with approvals valid for five years. This structured training program is expected to improve the overall competence of e-rickshaw and e-cart drivers, thereby enhancing public safety on the roads.
