BrandAlley, a prominent online retailer in the UK specializing in discounted fashion and homeware, has entered administration after nearly 15 years in business. The company, known for offering discounts of up to 80% on premium products, has put 75 jobs at risk as it transitions to a new entity named BrandAlley International Limited. Launched in 2008, BrandAlley gained popularity through its flash sales, attracting customers who typically spend over £100 per transaction. The joint administrators, Kiri Holland and Danny Dartnall from BDO, confirmed that customers can continue shopping on the website, with all current orders, returns, and refunds being managed by the new company. Despite facing financial difficulties, BrandAlley had previously explored various options, including a complete or partial sale, before opting for a pre-pack administration arrangement. Out of its original 163 workforce, 83 employees have been retained to assist with the sale, while 60 will support the transition temporarily. However, 15 staff members will face redundancy as part of the restructuring process.
