Morrisons brings in two-word rule at tills from Monday morning

Morrisons is bringing back free breakfasts for kids this May half-term. Morrisons, which has stores in Birmingham, says kids will be able to eat for free every day throughout the school holidays. Morrisons ’ breakfast club is set to return to in-store cafés on May 25, offering families across the UK a complimentary breakfast. The promotion will run throughout the half term until May 31, and can be claimed at any time in the day. Children and their families will be able to select either Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies as their breakfast of choice, alongside dairy or non-dairy milk. Customers will be able to claim the offer at the till point of any UK Morrisons Café, simply by asking for "Kellogg’s breakfast". "We’re here to help by opening our Café spaces up for Breakfast Clubs to give families a chance to enjoy a simple, balanced breakfast together.” Morrisons’ free holiday breakfasts extends Kellogg’s long running school breakfast club support, which has been running since 1998. Morrisons also offers one free kids’ meal with any adult main meal costing over £5. This runs every day, for children under 16. It comes as Morrisons announced that the proposed pay deal for Supermarket and Manufacturing colleagues covered by the national agreement with USDAW received a 91.87% vote in favour in the recent ballot. In addition, all eligible hourly paid colleagues will receive a one off fixed payment of between £25 and £175 based on their Contractual Hours. Morrisons had previously increased its Customer Assistant pay rate from £12.21 to £12.71 on Monday 30th March 2026, as the new National Living Wage took effect.
