Author Amish Tripathi, known for his bestselling Shiva Trilogy, has confirmed his collaboration with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan on a AAA video game based on the Ramayana. This project marks a significant milestone as it will be the first AAA game centered on an Indian epic, aiming to deliver unprecedented imagery and gameplay. During a podcast with Cyrus Broacha, Tripathi clarified that he and Bachchan co-founded the gaming company and have been working on this project for several years. He emphasized that AAA games have budgets similar to Hollywood films and typically take 4-5 years to develop. The game is expected to be released in about two years. Additionally, Tripathi denied recent rumors that actor Ranveer Singh had acquired the rights to his works, stating that the rights remain with him. Singh, a well-known figure in Bollywood, was last seen in the Dhurandhar franchise and is set to appear in the upcoming film Pralay.
