Liverpool FC has revealed images of a new permanent memorial named 'Forever 20' at Anfield, dedicated to Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, who tragically passed away in July 2022. The memorial features a flowing heart sculpture, symbolizing Diogo's iconic goal celebration, and is designed to be viewed from various angles, revealing the numbers 20 and 30, which correspond to the brothers' jersey numbers. Additionally, it will include the lyrics to Jota's famous song, which Liverpool fans sing during the 20th minute of every match. The memorial will be located on 97 Avenue, a significant site where fans left tributes, including flowers and banners, following their loss. The plinth will be made of Granby Rock-faced stone and will incorporate many of the physical tributes left by fans, ensuring that their emotions and voices become a permanent part of the memorial. Personal touches, such as a games controller detail, will reflect Diogo's life beyond football, making this memorial a lasting symbol of love, unity, and remembrance for fans and family alike.
