Although he acknowledges that AI could simplify some visual effects tasks, he is wary of its broader negative impacts on the industry. Instead of utilizing AI in his work, Parsons is interested in exploring its implications through art, stating he wants to interrogate the cultural and economic issues surrounding generative AI in future projects. In contrast, renowned director Martin Scorsese is taking a different approach by joining AI firm Black Forest Labs as an adviser, aiming to enhance creativity in cinema. Scorsese believes that cinema, being a relatively young medium, should embrace technological evolution to enrich audience experiences.
