A tragic incident occurred on Saturday at Aji Dam in Rajkot, Gujarat, where four family members drowned during a rescue attempt. The victims were identified as Bharat Jadav (42), a rickshaw driver, his sons Dhaval (18) and Rohit (26), and his nephew Dhruv Makwana (15). The family had visited the dam to wash their vehicle and offer prayers at the nearby Mogal Mata temple. The incident unfolded between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., when Rohit entered the water, lost his balance, and began to struggle. Dhaval and Dhruv jumped in to help him, but all three began to drown. Bharat then entered the water to save them, leading to the tragic outcome. By late evening, rescue teams had recovered three bodies, with efforts ongoing to locate Rohit. The authorities confirmed that an Accidental Death report will be filed at the Aji Dam police station after formalities are completed.
