Major investment firms, including Sequoia Capital, Dragoneer Investment Group, Altimeter Capital, and Greenoaks Capital Partners, are expected to co-lead the round, each contributing around $2 billion. The company is projected to generate $10.9 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2023, marking a significant increase from the previous quarter, and is on track for its first profitable quarter. CEO Dario Amodei noted an impressive 80x growth in revenue and usage in Q1 2023, prompting the startup to secure additional computing resources to meet demand.
