Textile traders and manufacturers in Gujarat are gearing up for the festival and winter booking season at Fabexa-2026, a three-day exhibition held in Gandhinagar. Inaugurated by BJP Gujarat president Jagdish Vishwakarma, the event showcases around 50 local brands from Ahmedabad and anticipates over 5,000 corporate buyers. To enhance engagement, the organizers have sponsored air tickets and accommodation for nearly 800 outstation buyers. The exhibition is expected to facilitate business opportunities for multiple production cycles, extending from the upcoming festivals through winter 2026 and into summer 2027. However, Gaurang Bhagat, president of Maskati Mahajan, highlighted that profit margins are under pressure due to a 20% increase in fabric production costs over the last year. The newly launched mobile app aims to protect traders from fraud by providing real-time information on blacklisted individuals, further supporting the local textile industry’s efforts to expand into international markets.
