Edwards suffered the injury during Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets, leading to his absence in Games 5 and 6 of the first round. Despite the injury, the Timberwolves advanced to the semifinals. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Edwards has begun light workouts and traveled with the team to San Antonio, fueling optimism about his recovery. Timberwolves vice president of medical and performance, David Hines, indicated that the projected timeline for Edwards' return is one to two weeks, depending on his pain management and mobility. In the first round, Edwards averaged 18.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. The Timberwolves hope to have him back in action as they prepare to face a Spurs team they previously defeated in the regular season.
