Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon) is reportedly planning to sell his luxury superyacht Koru, valued at $500 million. The 417-foot yacht, known for its impressive size and luxury features, has become increasingly difficult to manage, prompting Bezos to seek potential buyers. Koru, which requires a crew of around 36 people and incurs annual maintenance costs of nearly $30 million, has garnered significant media attention due to its celebrity guests and high-profile outings. Built by Dutch company Oceanco, Koru includes amenities such as a glass-bottom swimming pool and three jacuzzis, accommodating up to 18 guests. One of its standout features is a wooden mermaid sculpture, which has drawn comparisons to Bezos's partner, Lauren Sánchez. The yacht has been a key part of their luxury lifestyle, hosting famous personalities like Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian, and it was also the setting for Bezos's proposal to Sánchez in 2023.
