Adani Sportsline has announced the appointment of Simon Helmot as the Head Coach of Gulf Giants for the upcoming season of the International League T20 (ILT20). Helmot, an Australian cricket strategist, brings over 20 years of experience in domestic and international cricket, having worked in various T20 leagues worldwide. Notably, he has been associated with the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2013, contributing to multiple title-winning campaigns. His recent role included a successful five-season tenure with the Melbourne Renegades, where he led the team to its first Women's Big Bash League title in 2024. Helmot expressed excitement about joining Gulf Giants and emphasized his commitment to building a successful team. Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises, welcomed Helmot, highlighting his expertise in T20 cricket and player development. The Gulf Giants also expressed gratitude to former Head Coach Jonathan Trott for his contributions in the previous season.
