The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, resulted in 16 deaths and left at least 20 others injured, with some workers still unaccounted for. Jindal described the event as a significant tragedy, emphasizing the necessity for proper compensation and support for the families affected. He raised concerns about the decision to name Agarwal in the FIR prior to a complete investigation, arguing that it undermines due process. Jindal highlighted inconsistencies in accountability across sectors, questioning why private sector leaders are treated differently than those in public sector undertakings. He urged industry organizations like the Confederation of Indian Industry and FICCI to advocate for justice and investor trust, stating that their silence could be seen as a failure of their responsibilities.
