In a dramatic early morning operation on Saturday, police in Nuh, Haryana, apprehended a 36-year-old man with a criminal history spanning 21 cases, including serious charges like attempted murder and illegal arms possession. The suspect, a history-sheeter from Nai village in Bichhor, had been on bail for the past six months. Acting on a tip-off, the Crime Branch raided his hiding place at 3:25 AM. When confronted, he opened fire, injuring a constable whose leg was grazed by a bullet. Following a chase, the suspect was cornered in a field, where he again fired at police before being shot in the leg and captured. Both the suspect and the injured constable were taken to Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Hospital for treatment. A fresh FIR was registered against the suspect, citing multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
