Abhijeet Tulshiram Patil, hailing from Thane district in Maharashtra, has made headlines as one of the youngest Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, achieving this feat at just 22 years old. He secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 470 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022 on his first attempt. Patil's journey began with a spark of inspiration from a YouTube interview with a UPSC topper, which motivated him to pursue a career in public service. Unlike many aspirants who rely on coaching, Patil adopted a self-study approach, dedicating around eight hours daily to his preparation while completing his B.Tech in Civil and Environmental Engineering. After successfully clearing the preliminary round before his engineering results, he joined the Indian Police Service and was allotted the Rajasthan cadre. Following his training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, he began his service on November 13, 2023, and is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Police in Rajgarh Circle, Churu district. His responsibilities include maintaining law and order and leading the Anti-Gangster Task Force operations, highlighting the significant trust placed in young officers.
