Following the NEET-UG paper leak controversy, the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have established a stringent security framework for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21. To maintain the confidentiality of the exam, all individuals involved in question paper preparation, including setters and translators, will be placed in a secure facility under strict isolation until the exam's conclusion. This lockdown will prevent any external communication, including the use of mobile phones and internet access. The NTA has also compartmentalized the entire process of paper preparation, printing, and transportation to ensure no single person has complete access to the operational chain. Additionally, the Indian Air Force may be utilized for the secure transport of question papers to examination centres. The government is closely monitoring social media platforms to avert the circulation of fake papers and misinformation. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has emphasized the need to rectify any vulnerabilities identified in the previous examination cycle. The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted in offline mode from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
