In a remarkable achievement, students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) across Karnataka excelled in the II PUC final examinations, achieving an impressive overall pass percentage of 98.2%. Out of 489 students who appeared for the exams, 480 successfully cleared them, with six out of twelve EMRS schools achieving a perfect 100% pass rate. Notably, 150 students scored above 85% in the Science and Commerce streams, while 174 students secured between 75% and 84%. Usha B K from EMRS Bajjanahalli in Tumakuru topped the Science stream with a score of 583, including a perfect score in Physics. In the Commerce stream, Rajendra Siddappa Rawal from EMRS Tavaga in Belagavi also scored 583. The results reflect a significant improvement from last year's pass rate of around 84% and highlight the efforts of the Tribal Welfare Department to enhance educational outcomes for tribal students, who often face socio-economic challenges. The department's director, Yogesh T, emphasized their commitment to making EMRS a model for inclusive education, with many students now preparing for competitive exams like CET and NEET-UG.
