New Zealand's Test cricket squad has been bolstered by the return of fast bowlers Kyle Jamieson and Will O'Rourke for the upcoming one-off Test against Ireland and a subsequent three-match series against England. Jamieson, who has not played a Test since February 2024 due to a back stress fracture, is eager to contribute to the team's pace attack alongside O'Rourke, who is also returning from injury. Kane Williamson, currently serving as a strategic advisor for the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, has been included in the touring party as he approaches the milestone of 10,000 Test runs, needing just 539 runs to achieve this feat. However, the squad will miss Jacob Duffy, who is staying back as he and his wife await the birth of their first child. The team management is fully supportive of Duffy's decision. Dean Foxcroft has received his first Test call-up after impressive performances in domestic cricket, while Michael Bracewell has opted out to focus on white-ball cricket. The squad will prepare at the NZC High Performance Centre before departing on May 22, with the Test against Ireland scheduled from May 27 to 30 in Belfast. The series against England will commence on June 4 at Lord's, featuring the Crowe-Thorpe trophy for the second time.
