According to the exit polls conducted by Today’s Chanakya, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led alliance (DMK+) is projected to secure 125 ± 11 seats in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, which were held on April 23. This places the DMK+ well above the majority mark of 118 seats, indicating a potential second consecutive term for the ruling party. The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor-politician Vijay, is anticipated to make a notable debut, with projections of 63 ± 11 seats, establishing it as a significant third force in the state's political landscape. The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led alliance (AIADMK+) is expected to win 45 ± 11 seats. In terms of vote share, DMK+ is projected to lead with 39% ± 3%, followed by TVK at 30% ± 3% and AIADMK+ at 27% ± 3%. Other parties are anticipated to account for about 4% ± 3% of the vote share. The exit polls, while indicative, are not definitive predictors of the final results, which will be declared on May 4.
