Yadav stated that the SP supports women's reservation but opposes the BJP's push for delimitation without conducting a caste census first. He described the Bill as a 'black paper' and emphasized that the government is not representing the people's will. Yadav accused the BJP of using women's rights as a slogan while practicing divisive politics. He expressed concerns that the proposed Bill would lead to proxy representation, similar to male spouses acting on behalf of women in local governance. Furthermore, he asserted that the BJP's ideology does not resonate with the aspirations of modern women, claiming that no aware woman would support the ruling party. Yadav concluded by insisting that a caste census is essential before implementing any major decisions on women's reservation.
