The woman had lost both hands in a chaff-cutting machine accident, leaving her entirely dependent on others for daily activities. This transplant, the second of its kind at the hospital, offers her a chance to regain functional independence. The 12-hour surgery involved intricate microsurgical techniques, including bone fixation, tendon repair, and vascular anastomosis, conducted by a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
