Anthropic has launched Claude Design, a new research preview that enhances its AI capabilities by allowing users to create designs, prototypes, and slides. This tool is powered by Opus 4.7, Anthropic's most advanced vision model, and is designed to facilitate a collaborative design process. Users begin by providing prompts, which Claude refines through conversation and inline comments. Notably, Claude Design features custom sliders for adjusting design elements, enabling users to modify aspects like glow and density directly. The onboarding process tailors the design experience by learning from an organization’s existing documents and codebase, ensuring that subsequent projects align with the organization's visual identity. Additionally, users can upload images and documents, and utilize a web capture tool to extract elements from their websites. Claude Design is available to subscribers of Anthropic's Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with usage subject to limits. This launch coincides with similar offerings from Adobe and Canva, positioning Claude Design as a competitive player in the AI design space.
