During the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Business Summit-2026 in New Delhi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed the significant economic and industrial transformation of Uttar Pradesh since 2017. He stated that the state has moved past its identity crisis, which was marked by crime and poor infrastructure, and is now focused on security and entrepreneurship as key drivers of growth. Adityanath highlighted the importance of the manufacturing sector in creating jobs and attracting investments, asserting that a secure environment is essential for development. He pointed out that the 'One District, One Product' scheme, initiated in 2018, is gaining international recognition for local products, contributing to the state's economic landscape. The MSME sector, comprising over 96 lakh units, is crucial, providing employment to around 3 crore youth. Additionally, the chief minister noted that 156 crore tourists visited Uttar Pradesh last year, enhancing the state's cultural and religious tourism potential. Adityanath's remarks reflect a commitment to continuing reforms aimed at improving the state's economic conditions and public safety.
