Vodafone Idea registered a consolidated net profit of Rs 51,970 crore for the January–March quarter, compared to a net loss of Rs 7,166 crore in the corresponding period last year. The sharp turnaround was primarily driven by a one-time accounting gain linked to the reassessment of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues and the recognition of the present value of future payments. Leaving aside the exceptional gain, the telecom operator continued to show gradual improvement in its core business performance. Quarterly revenue increased 2.9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 11,332 crore, while EBITDA rose 4.9 per cent to Rs 4,890 crore. The company also reported positive monthly subscriber additions beginning February 2026, supported by rapid expansion of its 4G network and a broader rollout of 5G services.
