Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted a surprise inspection at Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital to assess the availability of doctors and overall patient care. This visit is part of the Delhi government's initiative to enhance public service delivery across various sectors, including healthcare and urban infrastructure. Gupta emphasized the need for modern, swift, and compassionate healthcare services, aiming to ensure that every citizen experiences timely treatment and dignified care. She directed hospital officials to maintain uninterrupted availability of essential supplies, particularly as the summer season approaches, which typically increases patient load.

In addition to healthcare improvements, the Delhi government is implementing flood mitigation strategies, including the desilting of the Yamuna river to prevent waterlogging in vulnerable areas. Gupta also inaugurated water ATMs in Shalimar Bagh to provide safe drinking water, particularly in high-density areas. Furthermore, over 5.3 lakh 'Pink Saheli Smart Cards' have been issued to facilitate free bus travel for women and transgender persons, promoting greater access to public transport and supporting women's empowerment in education and employment.
