Founded by Jake Ansbro, Paddy Brown, and Sax Arshad during the pandemic in March 2020, Gooey gained fame for its New York-style cookies and viral French Toast. The new café aims to attract the student population with a menu that includes an Egg Sandwich and avocado toast, alongside its well-loved pastries. To celebrate the opening, Gooey will offer 100 free sandwiches, 100 free iced matchas, and 200 cookies on a first-come, first-served basis. General Manager Chelsea Scott noted the café's aim to maintain high-quality, freshly baked goods while introducing community events.
