On social media platform X, Hayathi emphasized that the responsibility lies not with the actress, but with the filmmakers and the industry's systemic issues regarding women's representation. She criticized the tendency to blame actresses for their roles, stating that they often work within the constraints of the opportunities presented to them. Hayathi lamented that actresses are frequently judged based on the characters they portray rather than their actual talent. In response to the criticism, director Buchi Babu Sana acknowledged the feedback and expressed regret if any scenes were perceived as disrespectful to women. He assured that the team would make necessary edits to the film.
