On Thursday morning, a fire broke out in a residential building located in the BN Block of Shalimar Bagh, northwest Delhi, resulting in the rescue of five people, including a toddler. The fire was reported at 10:10 AM and was triggered by an explosion from an air conditioner on the first floor. Smoke filled the staircase, making it difficult for residents to escape. Firefighters arrived promptly and were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes. They utilized breathing gear to navigate the smoke-filled environment and ventilated the staircase, allowing for the safe rescue of two women and a one-year-old boy from the second floor, as well as a 76-year-old woman and her house help from the third floor. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
