Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has publicly supported Pawan Kalyan, the chief of the Jana Sena Party, amid backlash from Telangana leaders regarding Kalyan's plans to expand his party's influence in Telangana. Naidu defended Kalyan's right to campaign across state lines, arguing that democratic politics permits such actions. He pointed out that other leaders have similarly campaigned in different states without facing criticism. Pawan Kalyan announced that his party would actively participate in Telangana politics, contesting elections such as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls and the next Assembly elections. He emphasized the need for Jana Sena to address public issues in Telangana, asserting that the party's leaders have long urged for this expansion. Naidu called for constructive political engagement focused on development rather than divisive rhetoric. In response, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao expressed strong disapproval, highlighting that Telangana's identity was forged through the struggles of its people.
