Despite these concerns, Couto mentioned that Kambli recently shot for an advertisement and appeared to be in 'decent health.' Kambli has a history of health issues, including a severe urinary infection that led to hospitalization in December 2024 and two heart attacks in 2013. Kambli's son, Cristiano, aspires to become a cricketer, and Couto has arranged for him to attend a cricket academy without charge.
