In Panchkula, Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its electoral victory on Wednesday, with jubilant party workers congratulating each other and carrying winning candidate Parth Gupta on their shoulders. The celebrations took place at the BJP office, where prominent leaders, including Rajya Sabha member Kartikeya Sharma and Panchkula president Ajay Mittal, were present. However, the atmosphere was starkly different at the Congress office, which remained quiet. Opposition parties, including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), alleged irregularities during the election process. Congress mayoral candidate Sudha Bhardwaj claimed that there were issues with the electronic voting machines, including a lack of seals and insufficient CCTV coverage. AAP's Rajesh Kumar echoed concerns about the integrity of the strong room. In response, BJP's Sham Lal Bansal dismissed these allegations, stating they were merely excuses for the opposition's failures. BJP leaders criticized Congress for its poor performance in the elections.
