India's golf team for the upcoming Asian Games 2026, scheduled to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, has been announced, featuring prominent Olympians Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar. The six-member squad includes three men and three women, selected based on their world rankings. Aditi Ashok, ranked 135th, will captain the women's team alongside Diksha Dagar (221st) and Pranavi Urs (270th). The men's team is led by Yuvraj Sandhu (447th), supported by Veer Ahlawat (549th) and Saptak Talwar (569th). The golf events will occur from September 30 to October 3 at the Kasugai Country Club East Course, encompassing individual and team competitions for both genders. Aditi Ashok has previously achieved significant milestones, including a silver medal at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games and a fourth-place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Meanwhile, Yuvraj Sandhu enters the tournament following a successful season in the Professional Golf Tour of India, where he secured seven titles. India has a rich history in golf at the Asian Games, having won a total of seven medals, including three golds since the sport's introduction in 1982.
