Ikea is commemorating its 10-year anniversary in Las Vegas with a weekend of festivities designed to engage the community and reward shoppers. The celebrations are set for Saturday and Sunday, featuring special offers, giveaways, and live music. Each day, the first 100 shoppers will have the opportunity to win gift cards valued at up to $500. Additionally, there will be a fun 'Customer Pick a Present' activity from 11 a.m. to noon and free crafts for children from 1 to 2 p.m.. Saturday's entertainment includes a Mariachi band performing from noon to 1 p.m., while Sunday will showcase Hula dancers at 12:30 p.m. and again at 1:30 p.m.. The store opens at 10 a.m. and festivities will continue until 3 p.m. on both days. Since its opening on May 18, 2016, the 351,000-square-foot Ikea store has been a staple in the Las Vegas area, employing 300 full-time workers and stocking 10,000 items. Recently, Ikea also launched a new store concept in Henderson, Nevada, focused on kitchen, bedroom, and living room planning, allowing customers to order and pick up items conveniently.
