Following the announcement of Class XII examination results in Tamil Nadu, the Coimbatore branch of the Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is encouraging students and parents to explore Chartered Accountancy as a viable career option. CA Survajith S. Krishnan, the chairman of the ICAI Coimbatore branch, emphasized that the profession now encompasses diverse fields such as Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, global taxation, and financial consulting, in addition to traditional accounting and auditing roles. He noted that students completing Class XII can directly enroll in the CA course, paving the way for careers in practice, industry, banking, consulting, and entrepreneurship. The ICAI Coimbatore branch is actively conducting career awareness programs, counseling sessions, and mentorship initiatives to guide students and parents. Additionally, it was announced that Coimbatore has been selected as one of the 21 centers to host the ICAI Convocation 2026 on May 23, where newly qualified Chartered Accountants will receive their Certificates of Membership and Certificates of Practice.
