Mym's Sword is an action-platformer that invites players to step into the paws of Nora, a blue dog who accidentally falls into a temple and discovers a magic sword. The game features a quest to awaken Mym, possibly an ancient evil, while exploring three intricate ruins across five distinct areas filled with around 300 single-screen rooms. Players can collect magic rings that enhance gameplay, but must first gather 'helper's hands' to equip them. Combat is engaging yet challenging, requiring players to swing their sword using the right analog stick, which may frustrate some as enemies can leap over swings. The world resets between visits, allowing for immediate puzzle retries and exploration of hidden stairways and portals. The game draws inspiration from classic titles like Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening, promising an eerie yet captivating experience. Developed by the creators of Elephantasy, Mym's Sword is set to launch later this year, with a demo available on Itch and Steam.
