The dissatisfaction peaked when Chadha was removed as the deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, leading to claims from the MPs that they felt reduced to 'zero' within the party. Despite attempts by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal to address their concerns, the MPs chose to leave before a scheduled meeting. This rebellion is particularly damaging as it reduces AAP's representation in the Rajya Sabha from 10 to 3 members, marking a significant shift in the party's influence. Chadha expressed that he distanced himself from the party due to ethical concerns, stating he did not want to be associated with actions he deemed wrong. Kejriwal has attributed the turmoil to the BJP's interference, claiming they have betrayed the interests of Punjab.
